What You Can Expect
This is a curated listing of the best places (that I’ve encountered so far), that offer virtual Body Doubling & Co-working opportunities for Neurodivergent folks. Most of these include access to high-quality, active, thriving ADHD and/or Neurodivergent communities.
The listings and descriptions are derived from my own experience.
Most of the descriptions include limited excerpts or paraphrases from the hosts’ websites. But the majority of the content is my own wording & description. So, if you see something inaccurate, please let me know, so I can fix it.
What This is Not
This is NOT paid advertising. At this time, I am not receiving any compensation, whatsoever, for mentioning or linking to any of the sites and resources mentioned here. I’m simply creating this as a service to the broader ADHD Community.
This listing is NOT intended to be exhaustive. It’s a subjective listing, based on my exposure and experience, so far.

FREE, Virtual Co-Working Spaces, Created & Hosted by ADHD People for ADHD People
The Spaces listed in this section are created and hosted by ADHD people. Pretty much everyone in these spaces are Neurodivergent.
The ADHD Hive
Offers a variety of co-working, academic study, body double, and social sessions. Sessions are scheduled in advance.
You can select sessions that are silent or not silent.
To schedule a session or learn more:
The ADHD Hive is a high quality, large, thriving, global, network of virtual communities created by ADHD people for ADHD people. In addition to the co-working, body doubling, and study sessions, they host weekly parties, other opportunities to connect with other Neurodivergent folks around the globe, and so much more!
If you’re new to virtual ADHD Communities, this can be a great place to start.
The ADHD Hive offers everything they do for free. Volunteers from the community run the entire operation. This takes a significant coordination, time, & money. They rely entirely on their global network of volunteers, self-funding from community members, and donations.
If you’d like to support the ADHD Hive, please consider making a contribution through their Patreon page:
ThinkDivergent
ThinkDivergent offers a free co-working space, and has neurodivergent members across the globe.
There’s even a visual to show you what times of day are most likely to have others available throughout the week. To start or join a virtual co-working session, simply:
Visit the ThinkDivergent Body-Double website
Create a login
Start a session.
It’s that easy.
But ThinkDivergent is far more than virtual co-working space! When you create your login, you’ll notice that you also have an option to join their Community!
ThinkDivergent is a network of Atomic Communities (including Start-Up Incubators) where Divergent Thinking & ways of being are the norm. They’re creating products, communities, & services that make the world a place where everyone has the luxury to find purpose and belonging, while staying true to who they are. Sharing a common mission to Help Human Be Human.

The ADHD Productivity Tribe
This is a club on the Clubhouse app (audio only), that hosts co-working & body-doubling rooms almost every day. They occasionally host other social & advice rooms as well.
Sometimes the co-working rooms are silent. Sometimes they’re social. Access is free. You just have to download the Clubhouse app, join the club, and you’ll be able to join the rooms, when they occur.

Are You Sure These Weren’t Made Specifically by ADHD People and for ADHD People?
For these next few, I honestly don’t know whether or not the folks who built them were ADHD or some other type of Neurodivergent.
But, the options listed below are SO GOOD & EFFECTIVE that they seem like it.
Their simple, attractive design and features accommodate and overcome most ADHD challenges.
Seriously. These are incredible services!
Centered
I personally use Centered, and love it! Centered offers both FREE & Paid options.
Centered’s pricing for their paid plan is only slightly higher than FocusMate’s. And in my opinion, the investment is worth it!
Centered integrates Flow State science, coaching, & carefully selected music to help you reliably get "in the zone" every session-leveraging the best parts of your ADHD Hyperfocus for Peak Productivity Flow States.
But THIS IS THE BEST PART (in my opinion):
Centered allows you to include automated routines that help you to break out of ADHD Hyperfocus, so you…
Don’t miss that next meeting
Remember to:
Get a snack
Drink some water
Move around
Unclench your jaw
Breathe
And there’s SO MUCH more!
More ADHD-Friendly Features
Easy to Use: Simple, attractive layout
Block Distractions:
Customizable options for distracting websites and/or apps, to:Block specific websites and/or apps
Set time limits for them
Reminders and/or nudges, for those times when we must use a distracting site.
Checklists: Create your task check list for each session
Customizable Pomodoro-like Sessions: Customize the durations for your working sessions & breaks.
Guided practices that help you to reliably get in the zone & stay in the zone, every time! Both for the working sessions & the breaks!
Integrations with your calendar & favorite productivity apps.
Groups: Join groups, so you know when others will be available to join you. And follow your favorite folks, to get alerts for when they’re online & working.
And SO much more.
One Opportunity for Centered to Improve
The only potential downside to Centered’s platform, at the moment, is that there’s no option for text or audio chat - not even a way to direct-message anyone. Folks can share their live feed from their webcam, or display an avatar. But, there’s no way to communicate with other folks on the platform!
This is great if you prefer sessions with silence or great music, with no way to communicate with others who join you. But this limitation also prevents us from leveraging some best-practices for Peak Performance Productivity that require limited, intentional social interactions. If Centered included options for audio & text chat, I don’t think I’d use any other service for co-working. Everything else about their service is top-notch. And they keep finding ways to make it better!
The folks at Centered are actively engaged with their user base, and regularly make meaningful updates to improve the User Experience, and make it easier to access Flow States for productivity every time. So I expect that the options to include audio and/or text chat will come at some point in the future.
For more info & pricing:
FocusMate
I would be remiss, if I didn’t mention this one. FocusMate is the original virtual co-working service, that spawned the trend of virtual co-working spaces.
With both free & paid (very low price) versions, Focus Mate allows you to schedule your co-working sessions, or join folks who are already on.
You can create your own Groups or join existing groups, for a more consistent experience.
Simple, no frills, dependable, effective.

Hey Jeremy! Would love for you to check out Groove (https://links.groove.ooo/substack) I'm biased since I'm on Groove's team ;) but I'd use it all the time even if I wasn't.
Pretty similar concept, but Groove is free, the groups are only up to 4 people, and you're off video and sound after the initial check-in until the regroup. We like to say it's a way to get sh*t done the fun way.
A lot of members have ADHD and said it's useful for body doubling
